New Music Library Management Technology Gains Support of APM, VideoHelper and Other Major Libraries

NEW YORK, N.Y, -September 8, 2003- Sonomic (www.sonomic.com/server), the premier provider of sound library management solutions, today announced advanced music search and library support features for its Total Library Server (TLS) v3.1 sound library management system. The TLS v3.1 allows any engineer to search for, audition, and import any music cue or sound in their studio’s library and includes advanced DAW integration and search optimization features. Sonomic currently supports most commercially available music libraries, including APM, Killer Tracks, Video Helper, Who Did That Music, Non Stop Music, Omni Music, MegaTrax, DeWolfe and more.

"We're pleased that our clients will be able to instantly access their APM libraries using Sonomic's Total Library Server,” said APM President Adam Taylor . “It makes finding the perfect APM track easier than ever."

Sonomic’s advanced music search enables users to search their libraries by a full suite of parameters including: library, title, name, music category, instrumentation, description, mood, style, tempo, artist, duration, publisher, and society. TLS users can then instantly audition any track, import entire tracks or regions to Pro Tools (and most other popular DAWs), create custom Taglists for project-specific recall, and automatically generate Cue Sheet reports.

The TLS starts at USD $7,995 and comes with the following:

  • Sound Library Server: 2.4 GHz Pentium 4 processor, 1 GB RAM
  • TLS v3.1 Client Software:
    • Sonomic Sound Engine™: Search and preview with the fastest and most powerful media search algorithm available - pinpoint accuracy and instant access
    • DAW Integration: Spot/Import sounds directly into Pro Tools™ and most other audio/video software. Includes waveforms overviews and region selection.
    • Taglist: Organize your sounds by project, date, producer, client, and more. You can rename files, change descriptions, and add your own notes. Taglists can be saved, recalled, printed, even emailed.
    • MasterSound™: Classify and upload your own sounds and music. Automatically rip commercial sound libraries to your TLS database.
  • Unlimited Access to the 200,000 sound (and growing) Sonomic Online Library for one year, featuring Sound Ideas, BBC, Zero-G and more: update your library automatically - never buy another CD
  • Unlimited 24/7 Tech Support including free software upgrades and data backup

"We work with several providers of library server management products, but Sonomic's TLS is the only one we bought to manage our own libraries in-house" said Stewart Winter, President of Video Helper. "The TLS offers great performance and reliability -- and the interface is so easy to use we actually have a roomful of chimps on the system!"
